Ky-Mani Marley was born February 26, 1976, in Falmouth Jamaica. He is among the most wealthy and well-known Reggae Singers. Shottas was a classic movie in which he appeared along with another artist Wyclef. Ky-Mani got signed to Shang Records in 1996 where the album was released With Father Like Son. He has also released a number of singles, such as Judge Not with Patra and Dear Dad (which reached the top of the British Reggae Charts), the Who the Cap Fit Remix and Sensimelia. The majority of these songs contributed to his growing popularity with the new generation of reggae singers. Ky-Mani as well as Praswell from the Fugees formed a band in 1997 to create Avenue the cover version of Eddy Grant's Electric Avenue. Marley was the first performer to appear on stage at Midem in Miami which was an international festival of music.
