Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit is famous Indian actress best known for her the roles she played in Hum Aapke Hai Koun. Her first fame was her 1980s role in Tezaab, in which she co-starred along with an established actor Anil Koopor. In the following film, Dil, Aamir Khan appeared alongside her. She was born into the Mumbai middle-class family, and began to dance when she was a child. She began acting when she was a youngster and struggled for several years because many of her early films were flops. Then, she discovered success with Indian filmmaking and rose to the top. After her marriage the actress took time away from performing until she returned. More recently she played an integral character in the film Gulaab Gang which was about the struggles of women across India. Dixit is nominated to win fifteen Filmfare Awards, out of which she took home eight. Padma Shri, the fourth-highest civilian award in India is bestowed to her. Her reputation also includes for social activism.
